Infantry fighting Vehicle LAV

LAV is the last light infantry fighting vehicle from the III generation series created by General Dynamics Land Systems; commissioned in 1999. Based on the Swiss Piranha III 8×8.

Developed in Canada and is the main vehicle of the mechanized Infantry Command of the Canadian Land Forces and the New Zealand Army. The US Army uses lighter armored personnel carriers derived from the LAV III, called Stryker.
