AN-225 "Mriya" of the Ukrainian Air Force
An-225 "Mriya" (according to the NATO codification: English "Cossack") is an ultra—large capacity jet transport aircraft belonging to the OK Antonov Design Bureau.
It was the largest and heaviest aircraft in the history of world aviation. The aircraft was selected in the USSR in a single copy at the Kiev Mechanical Plant in 1984-1988 . The first flight was made on December 21, 1988. Initially, two cars were laid down; only one copy was in flight condition and was operated by the Ukrainian company Antonov Airlines. The USSR has the USSR tail number-82060, after the collapse of the USSR it became the property of Ukraine and received the tail number UR-82060. The second incomplete instance.
The only flying specimen was destroyed in a hangar on February 25, 2022 in the battles for Antonov Airport...
