The model is more suitable as a collector's item.

The YF-23 Black Widow was a direct competitor to the F-22 Raptor in the late 90s. The design was supposed to be more inconspicuous and fast in a straight line. The F-22 eventually won the competition as a next-generation fighter, so the 23rd was stripped of its main components and had to be destroyed. The air frame is still preserved and is being restored as a museum exhibit.
